Sequencing Information Text

In literacy we are learning about Information Text. Today we explored placing facts about a topic under subheadings.  (photos below)

 We were given a list of facts and statements about Sharks, Astronauts and Smartphones.   We had to think about how the information linked together, and then place the same topics under a sub-heading. 

For example for Smartphones we had the subheadings - 

What do they do?   
What are they made of of?  
What is their value?

For Sharks we had..

Habitat
Diet
Appearance

We even discussed the logical order of the information within the paragraph.  Which facts make sense to go first, or at the end of the paragraph.   

Our next step is to start writing a full Information Text.  Following that we can start adding Hooks to interest the reader, and even more information.
