In maths we have been using our understanding of Area and Perimeter to design a Zoo! We have to make sure that the animals get the right sized enclosure they need by calculating the required area and perimeter. Some of the animals even need an enclosure that is a compound shape - this is an extra challenge for us.
After designing the Zoo, we need to calculate how much the grass will cost for each enclosure, and the how much fencing will be needed !!!
Who would have thought there was so much maths at a Zoo!
